Trauma Resilience in UK Policing

 

Dr Jess Miller, Research Fellow for this Trauma Resilience in UK Policing project spoke at the 2019 national #UpBeat! conference about training in trauma processing techniques and the challenges of dealing with trauma exposure in Child Sexual Exploitation work.

The CSE guidance is based on a literature review of secondary trauma exposure, qualitative observation studies, focus groups with those working in CSE, interviews with managers and psychologists assessing officers and staff, and consultation with Counter Terrorism and partner agencies working with explicit imagery.
